Microsoft API Services User Data
The AutoNotes public website does not connect to or access any Microsoft APIs. Microsoft API integrations occur exclusively within the AutoNotes platform, and only after an authenticated, licensed user explicitly authorizes the connection through Microsoft’s OAuth consent flow.
AutoNotes integrates with Microsoft 365 / Outlook calendars via the Microsoft Graph API to provide calendar syncing within the platform. This section describes how AutoNotes accesses, uses, stores, and shares data obtained through Microsoft APIs.
Data we access. With your explicit consent at sign-in, AutoNotes requests only the permissions needed for calendar syncing: Calendars.ReadWrite (to read and sync your calendar events), User.Read (to read basic profile information such as your account email), and offline_access (to maintain the connection without requiring repeated sign-in). We request the minimum scopes required for the feature to function.
How we use it. Data obtained through Microsoft APIs is used solely to provide and operate the calendar-syncing functionality you enable within AutoNotes. It is not used for advertising or marketing, and it is not used to develop, improve, or train generalized or non-personalized artificial intelligence and/or machine-learning models.
Sharing. We do not sell your Microsoft data, and we do not transfer or share it with third parties except as necessary to provide the feature you requested or as required by law.
Retention and deletion. To provide calendar syncing, AutoNotes stores your Microsoft calendar events and the OAuth tokens associated with your connection. This data is retained for as long as the integration remains connected to your account. When you disconnect the integration, the stored calendar data and associated tokens are deleted.
Revoking access. You can revoke AutoNotes’ access to your calendar at any time. For personal Microsoft accounts (e.g. outlook.com, hotmail.com, live.com), manage or revoke access at https://account.live.com/consent/Manage. For work or school (Microsoft 365) accounts, use https://myapps.microsoft.com or https://account.microsoft.com/privacy/app-access.
Compliance. AutoNotes’ access to and use of data received through Microsoft APIs adheres to the Microsoft APIs Terms of Use, and our handling of that data is at least as protective as the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
